“ Building a core group of citizens committed to community development programs in the Bartlett Area” |
Program Mission
Provide a fundamental understanding of the prerequisites needed to promote and sustain economic growth and stability within a community and illustrate why strong leadership is essential. Develop an appreciation for the responsibilities of both the public and private sectors and show how their concerted efforts enhance society’s well-being.
1. | Identify and select individuals with a sincere interest in the community and a desire to enhance their leadership skills and expand business and personal relationships. |
2. | Strive for a cross section of participants from the business, civic, government, education community services and religious communities. |
3. | Educate and challenge participants to the needs of the community as well as dynamics of the decision-making process. |
4. | Develop synergy among the participants so there will be a platform for working together in the future. |
5. | Create dialogue and rapport between participants and existing community leadership. |
“As a participant in the Leadership Bartlett Class of 2011, I can’t say enough good things about the experience. In Leadership Bartlett, you will see ‘below the surface’ how our government, infrastructure, and business community interact. The time and financial investment are well worth the return and the class exceeded my expectations. My only regret is that I did not join the class sooner. “
