Transportation
The Memphis area is recognized globally as one of the world’s leading transportation centers. All top five Class I railroads feed into Memphis, providing direct cargo service to every major seaport in the United States and Canada. In addition, Amtrack provides daily passenger service along its Chicago – New Orleans Corridor. The Memphis / Shelby County International Airport provides direct service to over 90 cities including direct service to Amsterdam, Toronto, Cancun, Cozumel, Montego Bay in Jamaica, and Vancouver.
Bartlett is located at the crossroads of I-40, US Hwy 70, 79 & 64 all major transportation arteries for the U.S. The planned route of the nation’s newest Interstate, I-69 or NAFTA Highway connecting Canada & Mexico, will border Bartlett to the north.
Memphis is the home to FedEx and its global hub which handles over one million packages per day. The fact that the FedEx hub is in Memphis allows businesses until 8:00 pm and later for most package drops. UPS also maintains a major presence in Memphis and over 200 trucking companies serve the Memphis market.
